Today we get to pick up our invitations and start assembling, addressing, and mailing them. Talk about exhilarating! Now, I'd be lying if I said I haven't enjoyed being a part of the designing process; even if "being a part" means, for the most part, watching Rachel's creative mind at work and agreeing with whatever she says. The tedious task of assembling 400 of the things is not overly appealing, however. Any help available would be very...helpful.
As a message to my family, I would also like to say that I would love to read about what's going on in your lives. While blogger is a great way to coordinate and plan activities, it might be nice to see some updates and/or stories too (puzzle stories for example).
I don't know if I've told everyone yet but I'm playing with a band right now and thoroughly enjoying it. It takes one evening a week to practice but is well worth it. I was getting a little tired of having people ask, "You play drums?!? Cool, do you play in a band?" and having to answer, "Nope." Then they always give me that look that says, "Oh...so you don't REALLY play the drums." So it's been great. The music's complicated enough that it makes me stretch and keeps me entertained, but not so challenging that I have to dedicate my life to it. We should start playing some shows in September. The name of the band is currently "Blackball", which I can't say I'm exactly a fan of. But such is life.
We're getting family pictures taken today of the Macdonald family. These will be the first with Rachel in them. Otherwise Rachel and I are dedicating all of our free time to the gym and to invites this week so that we can get going on the wedding video next week. Fun stuff. I can't believe the wedding's only a month away! Keep it real.
